Reports

Odento turns your practice data into actionable insights. Track revenue, understand patient behavior, monitor treatment outcomes, and measure practice performance — all without exporting spreadsheets.

Overview

The Reports module, labeled Insights in the sidebar, aggregates data from across Odento — appointments, treatments, billing, and patient records — into a set of dashboards and detailed reports. You can view data for any time period, filter by dentist or chair, and export everything as PDF or CSV.

Revenue Reports

The revenue dashboard shows your practice's financial health at a glance:

Total revenue: Gross and net revenue for the selected period
Revenue by day/week/month: Trend chart with period-over-period comparison
Revenue by procedure type: Which treatments generate the most income
Revenue by payment method: Cash vs. online vs. insurance breakdown
Outstanding receivables: Total unpaid invoices with aging buckets (0–30, 31–60, 60+ days)
Average ticket size: Mean revenue per appointment

AI-Powered Insights

At the top of the revenue dashboard, Odento generates a plain-language summary of your performance — for example, "Revenue is up 12% this month, driven by an increase in root canal procedures. However, outstanding receivables have grown by ₹45,000 — consider following up on invoices older than 30 days."

Patient Analytics

Understand your patient base and how they interact with your practice:

New vs. returning patients: Acquisition and retention trends over time
Patient demographics: Age, gender, and location distribution
No-show rate: Percentage of appointments missed, by patient and by day of week
Rescheduling frequency: How often patients reschedule and why
Patient lifetime value: Total revenue generated per patient over their history with your practice
Top patients: Highest-value patients by revenue and visit frequency

Treatment Statistics

Track which treatments you perform most often and how they perform:

Procedure frequency: Count of each procedure type over the selected period
Treatment plan completion rate: Percentage of plans completed vs. abandoned
Average time to completion: How long patients take to finish multi-visit treatments
Procedure profitability: Revenue minus material costs per procedure type
Treatment mix: Distribution of your practice's work across categories (preventive, restorative, surgical, cosmetic, ortho)

Practice Performance

Operational metrics that help you run a more efficient practice:

Chair utilization: Percentage of available chair time that's booked
Dentist productivity: Appointments and revenue per dentist per day
Appointment fill rate: How far in advance your schedule fills up
Average appointment duration: Actual vs. scheduled, by procedure type
Lab turnaround time: Average days from order to delivery, by lab

Benchmarks

For multi-dentist practices, Odento shows each dentist's metrics alongside the practice average, making it easy to spot who's over- or under-performing and where coaching or support might help.

Exporting Reports

Every report can be exported:

PDF: Formatted, branded reports suitable for sharing with partners or investors
CSV: Raw data for import into Excel, Google Sheets, or accounting software
Scheduled email: Set up automatic weekly or monthly reports delivered to your inbox

Customizing Your View

Use the date range selector at the top of any report to focus on the period you care about. Filter by dentist, chair, or location if you have a multi-branch practice. Save your favorite filter combinations as presets so you can return to them with one click.
