Payments
Paying for dental care should be simple. Odento sends invoices via WhatsApp with secure payment links — pay with UPI, cards, or net banking in a few taps. Track your payment history and manage insurance claims, all in one place.
Viewing Bills

Each invoice shows:

- Dentist and clinic details
- Itemized list of procedures with individual prices
- Any discounts applied
- Taxes (GST, if applicable)

Partial Payments
If you can't pay the full amount at once, many dentists allow partial payments. Enter the amount you'd like to pay, and the remaining balance stays on the invoice. Odento tracks the outstanding amount and sends reminders for the balance according to your dentist's payment terms.
Payment History
The Bills & Payments section in the app and portal shows your complete payment history:
- All invoices, sorted by date (most recent first)
- Payment status for each invoice
- Amount paid and outstanding balance
- Payment method used (UPI, card, etc.)
- Downloadable receipts for each payment
You can download a yearly payment summary for tax purposes or insurance reimbursement claims. The summary includes all payments made in the selected period, with dentist details and GST breakdowns where applicable.
Insurance Claims
If you have dental insurance, you can manage claims through Odento:
- Add insurance details: Enter your insurance provider, policy number, and coverage information in your profile
- Claim-friendly invoices: Odento invoices include all the details insurers typically require — procedure codes, dentist credentials, and GST breakdown
- Download supporting documents: Get the invoice, clinical notes summary, and prescriptions as a single PDF bundle for your insurer
- Track claim status: If your dentist submits claims on your behalf, you can see the status (submitted, under review, approved, paid) in your records
Check Your Coverage
Dental insurance coverage varies widely — some plans cover only preventive care, others include restorative work. Check your policy details before treatment so you know what's covered and what you'll pay out of pocket. Your dentist can help you understand the likely coverage for planned procedures.
Payment Reminders
For outstanding invoices, Odento sends gentle payment reminders via WhatsApp:
- Invoice delivery: Sent immediately when the invoice is created, with the payment link
- Due date reminder: Sent a few days before the due date
- Overdue reminder: Sent after the due date if payment hasn't been received
If you're experiencing financial difficulty, contact your dentist directly through WhatsApp to discuss payment options. Many dentists offer installment plans for larger treatments.
Refunds
If a payment needs to be refunded (e.g., a cancelled procedure or a billing error), your dentist initiates the refund through Odento. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method and typically take 5–7 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
