Linklane
Professional networking built for the dental community. Connect with peers, refer patients, share clinical cases, and build your professional reputation — all within a verified, dental-only network.
Overview
Linklane is a professional networking platform exclusive to the dental community. Unlike generic social networks, Linklane verifies every member's dental registration number and role — dentist, specialist, lab technician, student, or institute. This ensures that connections, referrals, and case discussions happen within a trusted, verified network.
Linklane integrates with the rest of the Odento ecosystem. A referral made on Linklane creates a calendar entry in the receiving dentist's Calendar. A course completed on Sparkwise appears on the Linklane profile. A case shared on Linklane can reference patient records (with consent) from the referring dentist's practice.
Verified Network
Every Linklane profile is verified against the Dental Council of India registry. You can be confident that the specialist you are referring to is who they claim to be.

Messaging
Linklane includes built-in messaging for professional communication. Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest. You can send text, images, documents, and clinical attachments. Group conversations support case discussions among multiple specialists.
Message Types
- Direct message: One-on-one professional conversation.
- Group chat: Multi-person discussion, useful for multi-disciplinary case planning.
- Referral message: Structured referral with patient details, clinical notes, and attachments.
- Case discussion: Threaded discussion attached to a shared clinical case.
Patient Privacy
When sharing patient information in messages, ensure you have the patient's consent. Linklane logs all case shares for audit purposes. Patient identifiers are redacted in group discussions by default.
Referrals
Referrals are the core professional workflow on Linklane. When you refer a patient to a specialist, Linklane creates a structured referral record that includes:
- Patient demographics and relevant medical history
- Clinical notes and reason for referral
- Attachments such as X-rays, photographs, and prior treatment records
- Expected treatment and urgency level
- Automatic calendar entry for the receiving dentist
The receiving dentist can accept or decline the referral, propose appointment times, and send feedback after treatment. The referring dentist is notified at each stage, creating a complete referral loop.
Referral Workflow
1. Dentist creates referral in Linklane
├── Selects specialist from connections
├── Attaches patient record (with consent)
├── Adds clinical notes and X-rays
└── Sets urgency (routine / urgent / emergency)
2. Specialist receives referral
├── Reviews case and attachments
├── Accepts or declines
└── Proposes appointment slots
3. Patient is notified via WhatsApp (Neurax)
├── Receives specialist details and location
├── Confirms preferred slot
└── Calendar entry created for both dentists
4. Post-treatment
├── Specialist sends treatment summary
├── Referring dentist receives feedback
└── Patient returns to original dentist for follow-upCase Sharing
Case sharing lets you present interesting or challenging clinical cases to the community for discussion and learning. A shared case can include before-and-after photos, treatment plans, clinical notes, and outcomes. You control the visibility — share with specific connections, a study group, or the broader Linklane community.
Case Visibility Levels
- Private: Only you and explicitly invited colleagues can view the case.
- Connection group: Visible to a named group (e.g., "Endo Study Club").
- Community: Visible to all verified Linklane members. Patient identifiers are anonymized.
