Institutes

Odento for dental institutes brings academic management and clinical operations together on a single platform. Manage student enrollment, organize departments and faculty, run assessments and grading, and oversee clinical training — all while students gain hands-on experience with the same tools they'll use in private practice.

Overview

The institute experience in Odento is organized around four areas: Students (enrollment, batches, progress, and clinical requirements), Departments (organizational structure, specializations, and faculty), Academics (curriculum, assessments, grading, and attendance), and Clinical Operations (patient assignment, supervision, procedure logging, and competency tracking).

Students use the same Odento interface as practicing dentists — but with supervision guardrails. Faculty review and approve student work, and every procedure a student performs is logged toward their clinical requirements for graduation.

Real-World Training

Because students use the same platform as practicing dentists, they graduate already fluent in digital practice management — appointment scheduling, treatment planning, perio charting, billing, and lab coordination. No learning curve when they enter practice.

Roles in an Institute

Odento supports the following roles within an institute:

  • Dean / Director: Full access to all departments, students, and reports
  • Department Head: Manages their department's faculty, students, and clinical operations
  • Faculty / Professor: Supervises students, reviews work, manages assessments
  • Student: Treats patients under supervision, logs procedures, tracks requirements

DCI Compliance

Odento's clinical requirement tracking is designed to align with Dental Council of India (DCI) graduation requirements. Configure the procedure quotas your institute requires, and Odento tracks each student's progress automatically.
